Celebrated Kikuyu secular singer Muigai wa Njoroge has urged the Mt Kenya communities to drop Uhuru Kenyatta as their leader because he, according to him “Got compromised”.
The outspoken artist accuses President Uhuru Kenyatta of purportedly letting down the community and joining hands with people seen as political adversaries of the region.
Muigai is among the pro-William Ruto artists in Kikuyu community criticising Uhuru apparently for abandoning his deputy.
He has been disparaging the President and his cronies using hard-hitting songs, the latest being Muri Mururu (bad root) that he says should be uprooted.

The Uhuru supporter-turned-critic accuses the President of disunity in the community occasioned by political feuds.
“As Kikuyus we must act now and pick a new leader before it is too late because our leader was compromised” Muigai says.
Adding; “In our community we are fighting amongst ourselves because of an individual’s interests. This bad root dividing Kikuyus must be uprooted now”.
