Musician’s Adorable Moments With Dad Who Died Five Days to Her Wedding

Kikuyu gospel singer Regina Wangui Macharia who lost her father to heart failure has shared jovial moments with him.

Regina of the hit song “Ii Niwe Aca Tiwe” was planning to have her second wedding on Saturday at Sigona ACK Church but five days to the event tragedy struck.

Her father Samuel Macharia was an Archdeacon at African Independent Pentecostal Churches of Africa (AIPCA). He was ill for seven years.

Regina got popular during the burial of Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua in 2017. While performing her song that late governor loved, she danced vigorously and exposed her body in front of President Uhuru Kenyatta, other leaders and live TV cameras. She shot to limelight.

She was known as Regina Muthoga but after she was divorced by Bishop Bernard Muthoga who they got married with in 2002, she dropped the surname.

Coming Saturday she was supposed to say I do with Nicholas Ng’ang’a Njoroge who resides in USA. Their wedding which it is unclear if it will go as planned will be aired live on a Kikuyu TV to reach those who cannot attend because of set directives regarding Coronavirus pandemic.

Her merry day turned tragic has quite touched Regina and her fans who keep pouring messages of condolences.

She was close to her father and documented some touching moments when he shared laughter and talk with the father.
