Murang’a governor Mwangi Wa iria Television and Radio dubbed Gichichio hasn’t paid journalists for almost two months now.

Wairia through his Usawa Kwa Wote party is eyeing presidency to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta.

The station’s have frequencies both in Mount Kenya and in Nairobi and Wa Iria is using them to drum support for his bid.

The station’s management had promised them huge salaries, insurance, vehicles and mortgages before leaving where they used to work.

However, months later, they would realize they had made mistakes after the company failed to pay their monthly salaries.

According to a reliable Source working with the Station, the staffs are being underpaid and they have gone for two months without a salaries.

They have vowed to down their two if the management wont pay them as per the agreement.

The source told http://Newsline.co.ke that those who are at Radio Gichichio FM are mostly affected as some have been forced to rent houses near offices as they dont have daily fare.

Again, the station hired former Inooro and Kameme Fm presenters who had reputation as well as those from Iganjo FM that was owned by Kirinyaga gubernatorial aspirant Purity Ngirichi before she sold it to deputy president William Ruto allies.

Among those working at Gichichio includes Kihara Gathua (Kameme Fm) Gachiri Muchiri (joined from Iganjo Fm) ,Maichocho Mwenyewe 9From Kameme Fm),Dj Shoe Kiratu (Kameme),Wamiti and Waitherero wa njoroge among others.

Several sources have intimated that most of the staffs at both station are interns and this is affecting the quality of service especially on TV programs where the quality of the videos aren’t clear compared to Inooro TV and Kameme TV.
