Nairobi County Assembly Minority Leader, Anthony Kiragu, is poised to convene a crucial meeting of UDA Nairobi delegates, signaling his intent to vie for the Nairobi UDA chairman position in the upcoming April Elections.
Kiragu, buoyed by his unwavering commitment to the party’s manifesto, expressed his resolute confidence in clinching victory over his competitor, Embakasi West MP James Gakuya.
He attributed his optimism to his extensive groundwork in advancing the party’s agenda throughout the city.
“In two weeks’ time, I will gather all UDA delegates in Nairobi at Bomas to chart our course for the forthcoming elections in April. These elections remain on schedule, and I am steadfastly confident of securing the chairman’s position,” remarked Kiragu.
“They will ratify and affirm my leadership, recognizing my pivotal role in propelling our party’s agenda forward within the city.” He said
Kiragu underlined Nairobi’s pivotal role in setting the precedent for other counties, heralding a new era of UDA leadership across the nation.
The UDA party had initially scheduled its grassroots elections for December 2023 but opted to postpone them to April, setting the stage for a highly anticipated electoral showdown.
