The National Registration Bureau (NRB) boss, Dr Christopher Kinyua Wanjau, has graduated with a PhD in Strategic Management from Karatina University.

He was among the graduates who received their degrees in a colourful ceremony on Friday afternoon, attended by thousands of friends and relatives.

Speaking to the media after the graduation, Dr Wanjau urged the youth to take their education seriously by enrolling for further studies. He said education was key and therefore the need to be embraced by all regardless of age or gender.

“No one should lie to you that having one diploma or degree is final. If resources are available, get two diplomas, an extra degree or even masters because having knowledge is something that cannot be snatched from you by anyone,” he said.

He also challenged the youth to apply for job vacancies whenever they arise, saying that might be the opening of a great future. “As much as there are constraints, never get tired of applying for jobs,” he said.

Dr Wanjau has previously worked at the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) as the head of motor vehicle registration, at Kiambu county as a senior official and at the Ministry of Interior.

The ceremony was graced by Technical and Vocational and Training (TVET) Principal Secretary Dr Esther Mworia.
