Member of Parliament for Kiharu, Ndindi Nyoro, has dismissed threats from the Jubilee party, stating that it is too small a party to attempt to remove President William Ruto from office.
Speaking during a church service in Mbuinjeru, Runyenjes Constituency, Embu County, Nyoro strongly criticized Jubilee’s move to initiate proceedings to impeach the President, asserting that it lacks a solid foundation.
“That party even lacks a Leader (Nominated MP Sabina Chege) in parliament because she defected. How will they bring a motion to remove him?” he questioned.
“I tell you the truth; they cannot succeed because they lack the numbers, and they don’t know what they are doing,” he added.
In the same breath, Nyoro urged opposition leaders to criticize the government while patiently allowing the Kenya Kwanza government to implement its plans.
“You (Uhuru Kenyatta) were given the chance to be the President, but now that he (President Ruto) has taken over, you are setting traps for him to fall,” he directed his criticism towards former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
At the same time, the Kiharu MP appealed to Kenyans to be patient as the government works towards rescuing them from the challenging economic situation.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula echoed Nyoro’s sentiments, urging the opposition to tolerate the government as it devises strategies to revive the economy.
The Jubilee Party faction led by former Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni has threatened to submit a motion to oust President Ruto from office.
