Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya has accused Deputy President William Ruto of abusing luhya leaders besides having neglected the mulembe nation while in office.

Speaking during the burial of Bungoma Governor’s brother at Khachonge, the former COG chair challenged Bungoma residents for allegedly showing massive support for Ruto despite the fact that he has not done anything significant to the luhya community.

“It is so apathetic of any luhya to support Ruto, what has he done for us? It’s sad that we’re divided since in Kakamega we are fully rallying behind Raila but in Bungoma many of our politicians are following Ruto blindly,”Oparanya lamented.

Echoing his sentiments was Wafula Wamunyinyi of Kanduyi who dismissed the loyalty of Wetangula to Ruto alleging that he joined Kenya Kwanza as a bonus gift.

“Mudavadi was bought for a price while Wetangula followed as a saucer, it was a buy 1 get 1 free kind of business so Wetangula can’t dictate us on matters politics,” Wamunyinyi noted.

Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa who had also come to mourn with governor’s  family revealed that they had visited Bungoma County to hand over over 69,000 title deeds to land owners in the region.

“We have come with over 1 million title deeds to disburse across Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot and we call upon anyone who hasn’t acquired one to come pick theirs” Wamalwa announced.

He on the other hand acknowledged the immeasurable efforts of Bungoma governor to ensure the county is well up on developmental issues.

“During our last devolution analysis meeting last week, Wangamati emerged  among the top performers and I can assert that no other governor’s record matches his,” the CS emphasized.

He on the other hand condemned  Lusaka for downplaying Wangamati’s scholarship program and secretly planning to kill the dreams of many children.

“It is on record that Wetangula is misleading Lusaka to reverse scholarship funds and  purchase motorbikes if  he wins elections, he should be warned that mulembe nation is not being dictated by him; vote for Lusaka and your children will surely be the first to suffer,”Wamalwa warned.

Charles Ngome who is in the senatorial race giving Wetangula a run for his money assured the mourners that he is the only solution to destroying the Mugabe kingdom Wetangula is building.

“Wetangula cannot use us as a remote and the Senate position is not permanently his, I’m man enough to send him home at the dawn of 8th August,” Ngome vaunted amidst cheers from crowd.

Former Deputy governor of Bungoma Hillary Chongwony who was also in attendance affirmed his support for Wangamati and said that Mt. Elgon which was once considered Lusaka’s bedroom has completely taken a U- turn and all votes will now be directed to Wangamati.
