Having already presented a credible challenge to the flagship market with its relatively affordable and premium looking midrange smartphones, Oppo have done it again.
The phone maker has unveiled the Reno 8 Series a mid-range Smartphone without necessarily sacrificing too many flagship features for its customers.
The Reno 8 comes with 5G and 4G but in this review we will be focusing on the 5G that comes with a large storage of up to 256GB in ROM and a ram of 8GB.
On the front, it has a 6.43-inch punch-hole display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
In review the screen is integrated with an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner, which is quite responsive and rarely misreads.
It is an OLED panel, which comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
The screen supports a Full HD+ resolution.
Camera- “Portrait expert”
The OPPO Reno 8 5G has three flagship cameras at the back and one the front.
It has 50 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP Triple Rear Camera coupled with 4K @ 30 frames per second UHD Video Recording.
The face of the phone on the other hand comes with 32 MP Front Camera mounted on the top left corner with Ultra night video enhanced features.
Dual Sony Flagship Sensors and AI-enhanced imaging features enable the phone to quickly capture motion images.
The 50-megapixel camera does a good job when it comes to snapping photos in daylight.
There is no significant shutter lag while shooting in normal mode. However, it can take a second or two more when snapping photos in low-light conditions.
The New Generation RGBW Sensor- With 60 percent more light and a 35 percent reduction in noise, the new Sony IMX709 sensor changes everything.
Images produced in decent lighting are full of colour and detail, with well-represented windows in the cityscape settings. The main camera fares reasonably well after dark, too.
Battery & Design
One of the major attractions of the OPPO Reno 8 5G is its design.
The Reno 8 5G has flat edges and a unibody design, meaning it does not have a separate camera module.
With super-fast charging and impressive performance, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro is close to flagship greatness.
It’s game-changing 80w Supervooc charging brick in the box which can fully recharge your phone in less than 30 minutes about 40 minutes.
It packs 80W SUPERVOOCTMFlash Charge, Battery HealthEngine/5-Layer Charging Protection a 4500 mAh Battery and Reverse Charging
One great thing about the Reno 8 is that you won’t need to charge it more than once a day.
However, unlike some other brands there’s no wireless charging in the Oppo Reno 8 Series.
Smart Life / Gaming
For gamers the device comes with MediaTek Dimensity 1300.
Games, apps, and streaming are all powered by an incredibly efficient chip.
Mobile entertainment is smooth every time, day or night. And with 5G you’ll do it all at the speed of now.
