Philanthropist Ichagaki MCA foot school fee for a needy student in Maragua

Murang’a MCA Charles Mwangi Ng’ang’a popularly known as Ichagaki one has come to the aid of a needy student who couldn’t enroll for form one intake as her family couldn’t raise the needed amount.

Speaking to the media while enrolling her on school, Ichagaki said that he got wind of her information and the status of the family and decided to sponsor her through her secondary education.

He said that in this era, it’s the dream of every parent to have children to school for them to get empowered.

“I got information about Linet Muthoni who wish to become a surgeon after school and I decide to make her dream come true by enrolling her on school,” he said.

He further called on other leaders to follow his suit and enrolling needy students in school noting that doing this, will help to bridge the education gap and help in the realization of a better future.

“Sharing is caring, let us strive to do good and God will always remember us in all our endeavors,” MCA said.

Linet Muthoni parents thanked the MCA for the good deeds.

Muthoni who has promised to study hard to accomplish her dreams is now admitted at Kiangunyi High School.

“I won’t let Mheshimiwa down, I will ‘eat’ books and I can promise I will one day assist a needy student the way I have been assisted,” said the belated student.

She apologized for threatening to take her life and thanked the security agencies and Mheshimiwa for helping her out instead of arresting her.

Last year, Ichagaki MCA Charles Mwangi wrote to the county assembly clerk, instructing him to facilitate the donation of his salary to the board.

The MCA who is allegedly eyeing Murang’a senatorial seat said that the pandemic requires all Kenyan effort.
