This police officer was forced to push their old van after it stalled along Kenyatta Avenue, near the junction of State House Road.

Kenyans watched as the helpless, sweating cop struggled to jumpstart the aging Peugeot van.

The incident caused a brief traffic snarl-up as it was in the afternoon.

Instead of helping him, they resorted to taking photos while others went about their businesses without caring.

While this unidentified officer was pushing the van, some passersby laughed, some saying;

The van belongs to the Central Police Station which is along University Way in the City Centre.

Though government has been equipping police with newer vehicles, some stations have the old ones still being used for patrol and other errands.

In April the government said it will spend Sh10 billion to hire vehicles for police officers.
