President William Ruto is embarking on an intensive development tour of Mt Kenya, spanning the weekend and the following week.
The five-day tour will commence with a road trip from Nairobi, including stopovers in Githurai and Kenol.
At Kagio Trading Centre, the President will inaugurate a water project before addressing the public at Baricho in Kirinyaga County.
In Karatina, he will commission the Marua-State Lodge Road, expected to boost trade and spur growth in the region.
Sunday will see the Head of State William Ruto at the State Lodge Sagana for an interdenominational prayer service.

Monday’s agenda will include the commissioning of a road in Mukurweini, followed by the launch of water projects in Tetu and Othaya.
Nyeri Town will witness the opening of a bus park to alleviate congestion and enhance transportation.
On Tuesday, a new Kenya Co-operative Creameries facility in Kiganjo will be unveiled, followed by a meeting with Mt Kenya leaders at the Sagana State Lodge. Discussions will focus on key sectors like agriculture, infrastructure, health, and education.
The tour concludes on Wednesday with the opening of the three-story, 175-bed capacity Naromoru Level IV Hospital.
The President will also launch an affordable housing project in Gichugu before heading to Thika to commission the Karimenu Dam Water Supply Project and launch another affordable housing initiative.
