Raila Backs ‘One Man, One Vote, One Shilling’ Following Limuru 3 Report Handover

ODM Party Leader and Africa Union Congress Candidature Raila Odinga met the Limuru 3 conference organizers where he was given a full status report of the event’s significant discussions and resolutions.

Raila was welcomed at Chungwa House by a group of dancers from Mt Kenya region when he arrived for a meeting with the conveners of the Limuru III event.

The former Prime Minister was welcomed by elderly men and women wearing traditional cloths of Agikuyu community. They sing and dance showcasing warmly welcome.

Raila enjoyed the music together with several leaders who accampanied him and he was seen making small, joyful steps alongside the dancers clearly enjoying the cultural display.

Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni emphasized on one man one vote one shilling initiative saying that this initiative will bring equality in resource sharing

Kioni also said Jubilee Party support for Raila Odinga Chairmanship to AU is not only a Party interest but also a country’s wish.

Among those who accompanied the leader were National Assembly’s Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi and Kisii Governor Simba Arati.

Those in attendance at the meeting were Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni and former Laikipia Governor Nderitu Muriithi.

During the meeting, Raila expressed his support for the one man one vote one shilling principle spearheaded by some leaders from the region.

“I want to agree with the phrase one man one vote one shilling. I am calling for equality and justice in governace. I am not a populist but I agree with this, devolution is about sharing resources in the country not equality” he stated
“One of the discussions in the Limuru 3 was the issue of resource sharing in the country somehow this issue has been misrepresented as it is discriminating against someparts of the country. Nothing could be further from the truth” he added
