Ayub Savula, a Lugari MP, has made a stunning claim that Deputy President William Ruto has given ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi bhang to confuse him.

While receiving defectors on Wednesday at the DAP- Kenya headquarters in Nairobi, Savula alleged Mudavadi’ s character and style of politics had radically altered since he joined the DP.

Mudavadi’ s remarks, according to Savula, are no longer issue- based, but rather attacks on President Uhuru Kenyatta and his administration

” Since joining William Samoei Ruto, Mudavadi has entirely changed. Musalia has been given so much bhang by Ruto that he sleeps and wakes up insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta. People Daily cited Savula as saying, ” I was startled to see Mudavadi carry Ruto’ s files when they were abroad like an ordinary aide. “

Regarding allegations that President Kenyatta’ s government plans to rig the DP out of the presidential election in August 2022, Savula urged Kenya Kwanza to respect the Head of State and raise any concerns they have with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), which is mandated by the Constitution to oversee elections.

” He believes Uhuru should leave the presidential elections to be free and fair; is Uhuru the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission? ” Musalia should show respect for the President of the Republic. ” Uhuru is not your rival, ” Savula said.

The former ANC deputy party leader has in January defected from the Mudavadi party to join DAP- Kenya which is linked to Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa.

” I will be contesting for the seat of governor in Kakamega under the DAP- K which is under Azimio. These facts are informed by the idea that the activities that are going on in ANC forwards a formation that leans towards Deputy President William Ruto, ” Savule stated after defecting.

He had hinted at dumping Mudavadi during the Bhukungu II rally in Kakamega stadium on December 31.
