Ruto atakuwa Rais wa tano,Gavana Waiguru asema

Naibu Rais William Ruto atakuwa Rais ajaye wa Kenya, Gavana wa Kirinyaga Anne Waiguru amesema.

Waiguru alisema “dalili zote sasa zilionekana wazi tu kwamba DP atakuwa Rais ajaye lakini pia ana kile kinachohitajika kuiongoza nchi katika kufufua uchumi.”

Katibu huyo wa zamani wa Baraza la Mawaziri la Ugatuzi alisema kati ya wagombeaji wote wa urais ambao wametangaza azma yao ya Ikulu, ni Ruto pekee ambaye anaweza kuendeleza kile ambacho utawala wa Jubilee na kaunti zimeafikia.

“Kwa sasa, nchi inachohitaji ni mtu ambaye ana nguvu, bidii na akili timamu kuja na mpango na timu ya kufanyia kazi jinsi nchi itapona kutokana na mdororo wa kiuchumi ulioletwa na janga la Covid-19,” alisema. aliiambia Star.

Aliyekuwa mkosoaji mkali wa DP na mtetezi wa kupeana mkono kati ya Rais Uhuru Kenyatta na kiongozi wa ODM Raila Odinga, Waiguru alisema hakuna majuto, akibainisha kuwa katika mchanganyiko wa siasa za BBI, hakukuwa na damu mbaya kati yake na Ruto.

Alidokeza kuwa safari yake ya kisiasa na DP ilianza wakati wa maandalizi ya uchaguzi mkuu wa 2013 na “kwa hivyo kutofautiana kwa maoni sio sawa na chuki binafsi.”

“Mimi na Naibu Rais hatujawahi kugombana, siku zote tumedumisha uhusiano mzuri na njia wazi za mawasiliano licha ya wakati mwingine kutofautiana mitazamo katika masuala ya kisiasa au mikakati.”

Baada ya miezi kadhaa ya kutoa ishara tofauti kuhusu hatua yake nyingine ya kisiasa, Waiguru Jumanne alichukua hatua ya ujasiri na kuachana na kambi ya Uhuru kwa “taifa lenye shangwe” la Ruto.

Gavana huyo ambaye alipokelewa rasmi na Ruto katika makazi yake ya Karen, alisema alijiunga na United Democratic Movement baada ya kufanya mashauriano ya kina kati ya wafuasi wake.

“Nimeuliza ikiwa ni usaliti ikiwa nilihama lakini ujumbe ambao nilipewa na kila mtu ni kwamba katika siasa lazima uwe mwangalifu ili uendelee kuwa muhimu na kusikiliza watu,” Waiguru alisema.
