As kenyans are planning to go to the Polls on August 9, Teachers Countrywide too have a date with destiny.

After having had issues with the employer teachers’ service Commission on matters refresher training or TPD and a barren CBA, colleagues would want to vote in someone who will guarantee their rights.

Whereas KUPPET National Chairman Omboko Milemba has already cast his lot with Kenya kwanza’s William Ruto, others like KNUT’s Collins Oyuu have just asked members to vote whoever they wish to.

Collins Oyuu took over from Wilson Sosion who is now planning to run for a Senatorial seat in Bomet County.

Being a strong defender of the deputy president William Ruto and UDA, Sosion would arguably wish that Teachers vote for Kenya kwanza.

Recently, he Petitioned Parliament to find out why TSC Stopped promoting teachers with higher qualifications unilaterally.

On his side, Milemba pettitioned the August house to stop TSC from Implementing the Controversial TPD until consultations are done with stakeholders.

These can be considered as some of the benefits teachers have obtained from having their representatives in Parliament.

But on which presidential candidate teachers should vote for, the Kenyan tutors like anyone else will vote along tribal lines hence even if they are chaperoned to vote in a particular way they won’t.

This is because there is no Constituency in Kenya called Teachers or Kenyan workers that can be banked on by a particular presidential candidate.
