President William Ruto addressed the newly appointed Cabinet Secretaries today at State House, Nairobi, during their swearing-in ceremony, emphasizing the urgent need for servant leadership and accountability.
In his speech, President Ruto acknowledged the challenges Kenya has faced, attributing some of the difficulties to past communication gaps and insufficient public engagement regarding the government’s development agenda.
He admitted that these issues have led to missed opportunities in involving citizens in the nation’s transformation.
The President reflected on the need for public officials to adhere to the highest standards of integrity and to embody the principles laid out in Kenya’s Constitution.
