Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago has voluntarily presented himself at the Rift Valley Regional Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Headquarters in Nakuru. Accompanied by a team of legal representatives, Mandago arrived at the DCI offices slightly after 4:00 pm.

The Senator is the subject of a police investigation linked to the controversial Sh1.1 billion Overseas Educational Scholarships program in Finland and Canada, which has evoked anguish among numerous parents and students.

This morning, a warrant of arrest was issued by Nakuru Senior Principal Magistrate Peter Ndege after Mandago failed to appear in court as scheduled. The Magistrate noted that Mandago’s absence was accompanied by his mobile phone being switched off and his non-residence status in Nakuru.
