Kevin and I were married in a colorful wedding in 2019. I thought that was the beginning of a happy ever after, but I was so wrong. It was the beginning of my worst ever nightmare.

So I kept quiet but was becoming a little irritated. When we came back to Nairobi, his whole family was waiting for us at the airport. His mother was the first to ask me if everything had gone OK. I nodded.

That evening, Kevin stayed up late, pretending to be working, but spent the night on the sofa. He didn’t come to our matrimonial bed. I realized that we had never made love since we started dating.
