Staff worried of Kananu’s drinking habits

Staff at the Nairobi City County are increasingly getting worried with the escalating and uncontrolled drinking habits by Governor Ann Kananu.

The staff who spoke to CitizenNews complained that the governor has lost control of the county operations especially at the finance department where they claim alot of money is being lost.

According to a staff who has monitored her moves,the governor drinks herself beyond recognition and self-control to the point of responding to the ‘call of nature’ on herself.

” It has gotten to a disappointing level where she easily urinates on herself and even gets in some ungodly and cosy behaviors with the boardguards,” He added.

The also claim that the finance department has been held captive by a few individuals led by a prominent MCA yet Kananu has remained helpless.

Last Month, Waithaka MCA Anthony Kiragu alleged that the governor is always seen in bars and nightclubs but not in the office to help the people of Nairobi.

“She is an absentee governor. Kananu is never in the office. She is accused of being a drunkard and that she is always drinking in nightclubs. The bottle she moves around with contains alcohol. We know that and we shall address it. We shall soon discuss this in the Assembly,” he added.

During the protest of city hall workers last month, the same issues came up and the governor was accused of enjoying her time in Kilifi when she claimed to be in Dubai.
