Startimes Media has officially inked a partnership deal with the Nairobi County government, solidifying its position as the official pay-tv media partner for the upcoming Nairobi Festival Fete 2023.

The event is scheduled to start from December 12th to 17th at the recently revamped Uhuru Park.

Tamima Ibrahim, the Marketing Director of Startimes during a press briefing at Uhuru Park, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing Startimes’ commitment to promoting arts and culture

She highlighted the recently launched Pink Ladies drama series, currently airing on Rembo Television, as part of their efforts to support and showcase local content.

Furthermore, she announced that the festival fete would gather the casts of various Startimes programs among them Pink Ladies, encouraging Kenyans to actively participate.

“The Nairobi Festival Fete is a celebration that embraces all Kenyans from different walks of life, encompassing art, culture, and business. It’s an event that everyone should consider attending,” remarked Tamima Ibrahim.

Anastasia Nyalita, the County Executive for Inclusivity, Public Participation, and Customer Service, shared insights into the extensive preparations for the event, emphasizing the goal of making this year’s festival even more spectacular than the previous edition.

Nyalita expressed anticipation for additional partners and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to join the extravaganza, providing them with opportunities to showcase and market their products and services during the six-day celebration.

“We look forward to more partners coming onboard, as well as SMEs who will be able to showcase and market their products and services during the 6 days extravaganza,” she said.

She pointed out that these initiatives aim to bolster the creative industry and facilitate trade to thousands of Nairobi residents.

“We will have a lot of activity during the day including hot air balloons and a lot of traders who will be showcasing their wares and selling their products which will make the festival an opportunity to do wholesome shopping from a variety of Nairobi’s businesses,” she said.

The CEC was accompanied by Chief Officer, City Culture, Arts and Tourism- Clement Rapudo who emphasized the festival’s role in allowing Kenyans to appreciate the city’s rich tapestry of food, culture, music, heritage, and art.

Drawing from the lessons learned during the previous edition, Rapudo assured city residents that they should prepare for an unforgettable experience during this year’s Nairobi City Festival Fete.

“The 2022 edition was a learning curve but this one is bigger and better and city residents should get ready for an experience of their lives,” he said.
