Trouble in the Mt Kenya region as details emerge how the Jubilee Party is planning to cause violence in April before the August Elections.
UDA NEB Chairman has revealed that the Jubilee Party is planning to cause chaos in April when the United Democratic Alliance Party will be conducting their nominations inside Mt Kenya region which is President Uhuru’s backyard.
“They have also told aspirants there will be widespread state-orchestrated violence during UDA nominations in Mt Kenya region and therefore it was in the aspirant’s interest to decamp to Jubilee. In Kiambu and Muranga counties aspirants are being lured with money to decamp from UDA and failure to change their political allegiance are threatened with arrests and taken to court on fictitious charges,” read the statements made by UDA NEB Chairman Anthony Mwaura.
According to a report released by the UDA party, they informed that the Party nominations will be conducted from 9th to 16th April 2022.
“The National Elections Board has had several sittings in line with IEBC calendar wishes to announce to all aspirants that party nominations will be held from 9th to 16th April 2022. The nominations will be held in all counties across the republic,” the press statement read in part.
