Politicians from the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in the North Rift have assured their supporters that the upcoming grassroots leaders’ elections scheduled for December 9, 2023, will be transparent and fair.

They made these statements during a meeting of party leaders from Rift Valley held at the Fanyika Homecraft center in the Pioneer area of Eldoret town.

The politicians, led by Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi and special MP Joseph Wainaina, emphasized that the forthcoming elections for local leaders would be free and fair.

“The upcoming elections for grassroots leaders will be free and fair. All candidates vying for various positions should not be afraid but should consider all requirements before the election,” said Mr. Sudi.

Sudi reiterated that the elections would uphold the party’s values of democracy and transparency throughout the entire electoral process.

His statements were aimed at reinforcing UDA membership and embracing an unwavering commitment to economic revival and democratic principles within the party.

During the meeting, the politicians urged Kenyans to be patient as the Kenya Kwanza government continues to seek solutions to the economic challenges affecting the citizens.

“We encourage Kenyans to have more patience with President William Ruto. As leaders, we believe in his ability to strengthen the economy by 2024,” said Mr. Wainaina.

Wainaina expressed optimism about the steps taken by President Ruto towards economic recovery.

He hoped that the comprehensive economic plan by the country’s leader would yield substantial results by 2024. The MP stated that President Ruto has policies that will stimulate economic growth and alleviate the financial challenges faced by many Kenyans.
