Wanyonyi in Slight Edge over his opponents- Poll

Westlands Legislator Hon. Tim Wanyonyi has bounced back as the top favourite in the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat, according to leading opinion poll researcher Mizani Africa.


Wanyonyi who has waded alot of challenges with rumours that he might step aside or run as an independent candidate stood firm by claiming he will not bow out in favour of somebody else.


According to Mizani Africa, Wanyonyi leads the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat with popularity ranking of 29.2 % ahead of Senator Johnson Sakaja who is breathing closely in second spot with 23.3%.
Nairobi prominent businessman Richard Ngatia, a close ally of President Uhuru Kenyatta is lying third with 19.1 % followed by Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu with 15. 6,Bishop Margret Wanjiru(11.2),Agnes Kagure(0.8) and little known Wachira Njuguna trailing with O. 5 percent.
Accoding to Mizani Africa data analysts John Ben and Ziporah Umile, the popularity standings is not final as things might change.


In Kakamega County, Senator Cleophas Malala is tipped to replace Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya as the new Governor. Malala leads with 47.8% followed closely by Fernandes Barasa with 40.5 while Laban Atemba is third with 8.7 percent.


Other top favorites who have received major boost include Edwin Sifuna as Nairobi Senator with 31.2%,Wangui Nga’ng’a as Nairobi women Representative, John Kiarie(Dagoretti South with 50.5%, and Felix “Jalango” Odiwor in the Langata parliamentary seat with 45.5%.


Beatrice Elachi appears the main favourite in the Dagoretti Parliamentary seat with 52.1% while in Kakamega, Bullfighter Bonny Khalwale is tipped to clinch the Senatorial seat that was occupied by Cleophas Malala.
