Mathira MP and Kenya Kwanza presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua has been having a rough time in Mt Kenya.
The first time mp is accused of favouring UDA aspirants and neglecting those in affiliated parties.
Already he has fallen out with Chama cha Kazi Moses Kuria and Tujibebe William Kabogo as well as TSP Mwangi Kiunjuri.
Tujibebe Wakenya party leader William Kabogo is now accusing Deputy President William Ruto’s running mate Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua of being a dictator, claiming he is unfit to deputise the Kenya Kwanza frontman’s presidency bid.
Speaking at a rally on Thursday, Kabogo noted that he was strongly opposed to Gachagua being handed the running mate slot on grounds that the Mathira legislator is an abrasive autocrat who will probably rule with an iron fist should DP Ruto occupy the house on the hill after the August polls.
“Kesho Gachagua atakuja hapa na kabla achaguliwe na William Ruto mimi nilipinga,” the former Kiambu governor said in his address.
On Thursday, Gachagua while campaigning in Kiambu faced a hostile crowd in Githunguri ,Kiambu County.
A section of the electorates who had attended the rally accused him of disrespectingPresident Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Some of those who attended the rally shouted him down when he began his speech as they chanted pro-Raila slogans.
The group also made friendly chants about Martha Karua who is Raila’s presidential running mate.
Speaking in Gathunguri, Gachagua accused Jubilee of plotting to spoil his rally.
“Kama mumetumwa na Raila na Martha endeni kwa mkutano wao, hii ni ya UDA (If you have been sent by Raila and Martha go and organize your meeting there, this is a UDA rally), “Gachagua said.
The seemingly irritated Gachagua was forced to exit the ground and proceeded to Ruiru where he addressed another rally.
Ruiru MP King’ara drummed support for his bid and that of the DP.
“Kindly vote for me and UDA team and we will deliver,” King’ara said.
Gachagua was accompanied by Senator Kimani Wamatangi, UDA governor seat candidate, Karungo Thangwa, the Senate seat aspirant and Ruiru MP King’ara among others.
Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo and Chama cha Kazi party leader Moses Kuria didn’t attend the rally.
On Wednesday, Kabogo clashed with Wamatangi after Gachagua advocated for a six-piece voting pattern.
Former prime minister Raila Odinga is expected to hold an extensive tour of Kiambu County on Sunday.
He will be accompanied by Martha Karua and a host of the Jubilee leaders from the county.
