The race to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta immediately started as soon he was sworn in,with deputy William Ruto re-organising his moves of taking over his master’s bed room.

Several leaders from Uhuru’s vote rich mount Kenya had set the ground running with sweet watery deal that they would deputize Ruto as soon as Uhuru retires from state house.

Sabina Chege,Kithure Kindiki,Moses Kuria,Mwangi Kiunjuri,William Kabogo among others topped the list and they would accompany Ruto in every meeting in the region.

Some would fall apart with him after realising that they might be used and later dumped as it is in most politicians in the past.

Political analysts believed that the DP was smart enough as he used his ripe opportunity to market and popularise his 2022 presidential bid.

Political analyst cum politician Kamau Njenga has said that Ruto’s move made him far ahead of his 2022 competitors .

“Ruto is head,he realised the moment and used it well,all presidential candidates will compete against him but it cant be the opposite,”he said adding that a major coalition might be the only one to weak the DP.

History researcher and author Godfrey Sang in the past interview with the media said that Mr Ruto’s biggest advantage so far could be also the handshake between President Kenyatta and Mr Odinga and the public perceptions of the whole pact since then.

“Mr Odinga has convinced his troops that Uhuru is good and Ruto bad. But the more he drums that up, and the more the state is seen, felt or thought to be frustrating the candidacy of Ruto, the more he becomes popular to the citizens,” Mr Sang said.

Among those expected to Run for presidency include,Raila Odinga,Kalonzo Musyoka,Musalia Mudavadi ,Peter Kenneth among others.
