Why Roysambu aspirant stormed polling station crying pointing at police officers

Roysambu parliamentary aspirant on the UDA party  stormed Mahiga primary school in Kahawa west claiming the exercise wasn’t conducted transparently.

Kamande Mwafrika accompanied by his supporters paralyzed the voting exercise for almost 30 minutes before police officers manning the exercise ordered him to leave the premises.

Addressing the Media, Kamande said that out of six polling stations in Kahawa west, only one was operating, and this created confusion.

Among those that weren’t operational includes Kamiti prison primary school,KBA school, Rurii voting centre among others.

“We want this exercise stopped as we won’t accept it to continue, we have information that there are those that are being favored by the party and we won’t accept,” he said.

He went ahead and withdrew his agents at the polling stations and vowed to write a protest letter to the party.

He further questioned the register that was being used stating that some of the voters’ names were missing urging the party to ensure that they are using the IEBC register.

At Mary Immaculate Primary school in Kiamumbi, Kiambu County the exercise continued smoothly.

A presiding officer in at the polling station who declined to be mentioned said the ballots were ready but the election officials including agents didn’t arrive at the centres in time.

“We are a bit late but we have now sealed the boxes ready for the exercise in a few moments,” the PO said.

At Kiambu institute of science and technology the exercise was normal though voters were less. The situation would change at Kiambu town governor’s office headquarters as the Kenyans turned in a huge number to vote for their respective leaders.
