Why StarTimes extended support to SOS Children’s Villages

Digital Television Company StarTimes Media and SOS Children’s Villages have extended their partnership todays supporting Kenyan children and the youth under the care of the institution towards enabling them access basic and education needs.

The company presented back to school shoes, sanitary towels and an assortment of household and personal care products towards supporting the institution in its operations.

The support to SOS Children’s Villages is a continuation between the two organizations following a partnership that has existed since 2018 when they initiated a strategic effort to facilitate the entry of youth into the job market while giving them the means to create a sustainable future for themselves and society.

StarTimes partnered with health care provider Avenue Healthcare to offer hygiene and general wellness service to SOS Children’s villages.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, StarTimes Deputy Marketing Director Mr. Terry Liu noted that the brand has a commitment of empowering the youth during and it is through such support to institutions such as SOS that will facilitate this achievement through concerted efforts to not only see the children and the youth access basic necessities but also much needed health care.

“StarTimes is committed towards empowering the Kenyan children and the youth and facilitating their growth and development, it’s through working with diverse instirurions such SOS and Avenue Healthcare that this will be achieved. This support to SOS Children’s Villages is therefore very strategic, as we look forward towards working with the next generation of our leaders,” noted Mr. Liu.

We can only accomplish what we do for children, young people and families thanks to the generosity, commitment and amplification of our message by corporate partners such as StarTimes and Avenue Healthcare. In Kenya, SOS Children’s Villages works closely with a wide range of companies and partners who have a vested interest in improving the lives of the communities they are working in. As a result, the impact of our work is stronger and more sustainable”.
