Impeached Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu is a businessman who have, though questionable, invested in several areas including real estate.
In the city centre, the 58-year-old politician runs a pub but he never drinks alcohol however much he look like he is a daily drinker.
Waititu, alias Baba Yao owns the Fontaine Sports bar housed in Delta Hotel, a building along University Way that he bought for close to Sh1 billion.
He says his upbringing made him loathe the alcohol but his friend Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko claims Waititu likes smoking marijuana.

Baba Yao’s father was an addicted drunkard and he abandoned their mother to shoulder that responsibility. This made him hate taking liquor but he likes selling it is a money maker.
But, what about the bhang issue, Sonko is on record claiming when they met in Parliament when Waititu represented Embakasi and Sonko wa Makandara MP, they smoked weed in the toilet.
Sonko confessed that they sneaked in the prohibited drug having it tucked in their socks, and when they got chance they sneaked into toilets and puffed like hell.

He alleged; “I think he used to smoke a lot of bhang when he was an MP. I’m a witness to this. We used to go to a certain toilet there. We used to smoke a lot of bhang with this guy. In fact, he was hiding bhang in the socks,” .
Waititu however denied the claims saying Sonko was high on marijuana when he said so.

He told Sonko to behave like a grandfather he has become but from colleagues in political circles, Sonko stated facts.
