Women Rep Criticized for Holding a Child’s Hand With Dirty Gloves

Kirinyaga Women Representative Purity Ngirici was lambasted for failing to adhere to the set precautionary measures against deadly Coronavirus.

Ngirici was distributing sanitisers, face masks, water tanks and soaps in her county but how she interacted with an innocent girl who is unaware of dangers of COVID-19 did not go well with her hawk-eyed followers.

Though she protected herself with a mask and gloves, she touched the kid with her untidy protective gears she wore when distributing her donations.

At the same time the girl was rubbing her itchy eyes. Also Ngirici did not maintain set social distance as an adult and other kids encircled her.

Her noble gesture to help tame the virus was largely praised but those who spotted this blunder castigated her. Here are some of the reactions.
